ha!! Wicked! Motion Capture Eddie Gordo
AAARG! AMAZING CAPOEIRA SESSION!
amazing. And Glyn agreed to push me in the roda next time. he was too nice now, and was going too easy on me (Glyn is a gray cordao, I’m a white cordao… the difference of about 5 or 6 years training). Anyway, I think he does what I do in the roda with a beginner (after 2.5 years training, even with a small hiatus, I can call someone else a beginner! YES!) I tend to go easy on them. I think I need to push them to improve their game as well.
Capoeira is LOVE!!
excuse me while I go take a shower after my run…
Oh ya, I forgot to mention I learned how to do a proper au de costa yesterday.
Go me!

little bit of good natured fun between some capoeiristas and some Bboys.
Ah puppy love….
So of course, as it’s new stages, I am seeing everything in rose and I am neglecting things I usually wouldn’t neglect. And I’m shopping more (EEP!) which is REALLY bad as I’ve just paid off most of my credit, but have bought a few things I shouldn’t have.
I blame my holiday too.
anyway, so capoeira is still at the forefront, however as I’ve been all loved up (ahem, literally, figuratively, or what ever you wanted to call being kept up all night in the throes of passion) I tend to not do so much these days. I have been meaning to paint for the last few days, but haven’t even done any preliminary drawings. Today, I fell asleep at 3 and woke up at 5.30 (pm). Naps are really not usually my thing, but damn if I didn’t need it hard core today. Not a wink last night.
As much as this sounds like I’m complaining, I’m not. It’s totally worth it.
Last night we spent 30 minutes making each other laugh by making faces at each other. I was crying in the end, I was laughing so hard.
This is something wholly new to what I’ve experienced previously. It was comfortable and fit like a puzzle piece from the beginning.
I don’t want to say too much too soon as I’m a silly girl who falls in love far too easily, and I kind of want this one to stick around for a while. I really like this one.
And freaking ‘eck, he did gymnastics, and loves music. And the story of how we met is the best: We went to a scroobius pip concert, got a little tipsy, waltzed to killing in the name of (and took up the whole dance floor… after a particularly bad 2 person dance off spurred on by his best mate when gig was over), and at the after party, we out-did each other on sing star warbling out Queen.
Damn, I can’t stop smiling.
Capoeira lady kicking major butt!!
I don’t know why I like watching this video but I like watching this video.

debating moving to Brazil for a month or two next year
60 day of capoeira, samba, and damn good fun…
and I can teach English on the side. I gotta start learning Portuguese…
Neguin - he’s an amazing Bboy/breakdancer, and started off with capoeira. he’s been doing capoeira since he was about 5 years old - I think he’s 24/25? so super young and already 20 years of capo behind him.
Seriously, how the eff does he move his body like that?!?
